1. Commitment to Driver & Learner Privacy

Hands-Free Vocab ("the App") is developed by A. Alex Mohit. Your privacy is paramount. Hands-Free Vocab is architected from the ground up as a zero-telemetry, strictly on-device educational audio tool. We do not track, profile, monetize, or harvest user data under any circumstances.

2. On-Device Speech Recognition & Audio Processing

The App utilizes Apple's native on-device speech recognition framework and audio engine to detect hands-free driving study commands (such as "Next", "Repeat", "Mastered", "Explain", and "Root").

• Zero Audio Transmission: Spoken audio and microphone inputs are processed entirely in real-time on your physical Apple device. Microphone inputs are never recorded to persistent files, never transmitted across the network, and never uploaded to external cloud servers.
• Ephemeral In-Memory Buffers: Audio sample buffers are evaluated instantaneously and discarded immediately after command classification.
• Microphone Permission: Microphone access is strictly required to enable touch-free driving commands so drivers can study safely without glancing at or tapping a screen.

3. Data Collection and Storage

The App collects zero personal information. Specifically:

• We do NOT require user account creation, social logins, or registration.
• We do NOT collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or physical locations.
• Study progress, spaced repetition intervals (SRS), and word mastery statistics are stored strictly in local device sandboxed storage (UserDefaults) and never exported.

4. Third-Party Analytics and Advertising

Hands-Free Vocab contains no third-party advertising SDKs, no cross-app tracking identifiers (IDFA), and no third-party behavioral analytics (such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or Firebase). The App does not sell, license, or share user data with advertising networks or data brokers.

5. Children's Privacy

Hands-Free Vocab complies fully with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and international child privacy regulations. Because the App collects no personal data from any user, it does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13.

6. Security

Because all learning databases, audio generation, and voice command parsing operate exclusively within Apple's secure application sandbox on your device, your learning journey remains 100% private to you.
